Save small boxes, packages and rolls for nursery and primary schools. They may be useful for play activities.

All types of cardboard can be taken to the Packaging Recycling Points in Edinburgh (See Recycling Points In Edinburgh), the Edinburgh, Lothians and Borders Community Recycling Centres (See COMMUNITY RECYCLING CENTRES) or recycled via kerbside collections in the Borders, Edinburgh, East Lothian and Midlothian (See KERBSIDE RECYCLING). West Lothian accepts thin card only in its kerbside collection. Please crush down boxes.

IKEA has a container for the collection of brown cardboard packaging (situated at the exit).

Small amounts of soft cardboard such as egg boxes can be ripped, scrunched up and added to a home composter or wormery. This creates air pockets and helps decomposition.
