Scrap Stores
Scrap stores provide recycled materials for arts, crafts, DIY and creative play. They collect materials for free, from commercial businesses, community organisations and individuals. Types of materials include paper, card, fabric, stationary, props, decorations, sticky-back plastic, cork, coloured foam, packaging materials, picture frames, tiles, paint, ribbons and wool. They accept anything clean and safe that can be reused for arts and crafts. To donate items or register as a member contact:

Alchemy Arts
Alchemy Arts provides a scrap materials store and uplift service for the Edinburgh area. Collected materials are used in Alchemy Arts workshops, commissions and are also made available for members projects.
Materials collected include: art materials, bamboo blinds, broken brollies, broken tiles, crockery, fabric, paints, wool. They especially appreciate unusual and bright materials.

TRASH Music Projects
Work with community and school groups utilising scrap material/items to create instruments and sculptural pieces for performance workshops and are always looking for new material. They use plastic barrels, metal drums, plastic pipes, scaffolding, metal pipes and wood. Metal and other sheet material is used for stands and as dance surfaces.
